About

We play, we learn, we grow!

Work is Play started with one simple truth: kids learn best when they’re having fun and honestly, so do grown‑ups. For over 20 years, I’ve supported children ages 0–8 and their parents through therapy and coaching, from Early Intervention all the way to the post‑COVID world. No matter the decade, the challenge, or the setting, the themes were the same: big feelings, tricky social moments, and little humans trying their best to make sense of it all. In my world, play isn’t a break from learning, play IS the learning. Kids practice social skills, communication, turn‑taking, coping strategies, and emotional regulation while building towers, pretending to be superheroes, or navigating the very serious politics of snack time. They learn to use their words, understand their feelings, and express themselves without melting into a puddle of emotions. And yes… I really do get to say, “I play with kids all day.” Parents get in on the fun too. They learn how to reconnect with their child through play, rediscover their own silliness, and build confidence in navigating big emotions at home. When kids feel understood and parents feel empowered, everybody wins — and we all get to play a little more.
